Soy describes a candle’s wax material; it does not tell you everything about its fragrance, burn time, or suitability for your home. A useful purchase decision starts with the complete product description, the maker’s directions, and a scent you enjoy.
What should you compare?
- Wax and blend: look for the actual material named on the current listing.
- Fragrance: compare the listed scent notes, not just a poetic product name.
- Size: distinguish net wax weight from the capacity of the jar.
- Care: check wick-trimming guidance and the maximum burn session.
What soy alone cannot promise
A soy label is not evidence that a candle cleans the air, treats symptoms, is suitable for every pet, or always lasts longer than a different wax. The National Candle Association cautions against assuming one wax automatically performs better than another.
What we currently pour
Blue Ridge Whispers’ current candle collection describes coco-soy candles in classic 16 oz mason jars with approximately 13 oz net wax weight. Check the individual listing and label, particularly during a wax transition. Read our wax-blend update or ask us about a product.
Browse our Appalachian-inspired candles, or use the mountain scent quiz to narrow the fragrance families you enjoy.
